DarkCon Gaming Schedule as of 01-05-14

Enjoy game events at DarkCon 2014 from local gaming groups such as the UAG, Steve Jackson MIB, Time Renegades, and Catalyst Game Labs.

Expect some local indie game designers as well to round a full weekend of gaming goodness.

We would like to thank all the Game Masters that have signed up to run games… we are now full up. There will be open gaming tables for pick up games available on a first come first served basis at con as well. For more information on our gaming area, contact DarkCon@DarkCon.org.

MaricopaCon Gamer Olympics
The MaricopaCon Gamer Olympics is coming to DarkCon — this is a ranked competition where the players play multiple fast short games over a certain time period. Players are awarded points each game based on how they finish and these points count towards winning the overall event. Prizes for all participants.

Bolt Action
Bolt Action is a WWII tabletop miniatures war game made by Warlord Games, who reside here in the valley. There will be Bolt Action demos all weekend.

Thunderstone Tournament
We’ll have a Thunderstone tournament, which is a fantasy deck-building card game by AEG.

 

Heroscape
On Saturday, we’ll have Heroscape, which is a fun out-of-print miniatures war game that is easy to learn with all genres represented.

Lost Worlds Tournament
Lost Worlds is a unique “combat picture book game” designed and trademarked by Alfred Leonardi — check out the tournament on Sunday.

Heavy Gear
There will be Heavy Gear demos and a tournament. Heavy Gear is a sci-fi mech miniatures war game by Dream Pod 9.

Laughing Moon RPG
The Laughing Moon adventures will take gamers into a treacherous setting where not everything is what it seems. Ancient power resides in the region known as the Dwimmer Vale, but to uncover those secrets the adventurers must infiltrate a dangerous race of fey creatures and seek clues to their age-old source of power. But in a place where deception has infested the inhabitants like a plague, who can ultimately be trusted?

Firefly
Attention Browncoats! On Saturday and Sunday you’ll have your opportunity to come play the newly released shiny board game!

Fortune  and Glory
On Saturday afternoon, enjoy a fast-paced game of high adventure, vile villains, edge-of-your-seat  danger, and cliffhanger pulp movie action. Players take on the role of a  treasure hunter, traveling the globe in search of ancient artifacts and  fending off danger and villains at every turn in a quest for the  ultimate reward of fortune and glory!

Raiding Parties
Join local game designer Nick Pace while he demos his game every day of the con. Raiding Parties is a deck-building game where you are  the commander who selects a crew to hire as part of your Raiding Party,  and then players test their fate in battle! This is  a fast-paced game of pirate battles where each card adds weapons and  abilities, featuring the art of Don Maitz, creator of the Capt. Morgan’s Spiced Rum logo.

Tunnels & Trolls
Come play the Deluxe version of Tunnels & Trolls with Ken St. Andre on Sunday from 10am – 4pm!
